Faith in Destruction (2023)

HTML, CSS, webgazer.js, Procreate

Web prototype (for an installation) using webcam eyetracking to block users from reading excerpts of texts on mysticism and faith from various spiritual cultures. Based on the physics of caustics—the way that the uneven refraction of light rays can direct strong light and deep darkness into the same spot, thus canceling one another out and rendering the truth indetectable, Faith in Destruction provokes users to question what important hidden phenomena evade their perception of reality.
